Onyx believes in giving back to the community wherever possible. There are many ways that we can achieve this through harnessing our skills, donating our time and promoting a collaborative environment. Below are just some of the examples of our contributions.
Donations
Wings For Life Spinal Cord Research
In 2022, as part of our annual charity event, we took part in the Tough Mudder 15k race to support Wings for Life, a not-for-profit organisation focused on spinal cord research. Our team was able to raise an incredible £12,414, which will contribute to their mission of finding a cure for spinal cord injury.
King George & Queen's Hospitals Charity
2020 was an incredibly difficult year for many people around the world, and closer to home, for our NHS. The desire to help in some way infected the company, leading to a charitable donation to one of the hardest hit hospitals in London.
Shooting Star Children's Hospices
Since 2017, we have been fundraising exclusively for Shooting Star’s hospices. Many of the events have been in the spirit of joyous group activities – from “guessing the baby” to a football tournament, in the spirit of those we are raising money for.

Onyx "Around the World" Lunch
We have held two “in house” lunches where each employee brings food in for a picnic and donates their lunch money to a chosen charity. We thoroughly enjoyed the collaborative aspect of the lunches –with such a multicultural company we experienced delicious foods from all the world!
Onyx Football Tournament
With such a competitive trading floor it, it seemed only appropriate to host a football tournament in the Spring time. Brokers from across different companies came to compete, with PVM Oil Associates taking the gold!
